POEM STARTER
Write a rhyming poem about the beauty of an urban setting.
What things might you find beautiful in a non-rural environment?
Suburban Beauty
The sprawls of Suburbia
What can I say, that you already can’t see
It’s the middle zone of all things
Not too quiet as green acres
Not bustling either with skyscrapers
Just normal people
In normal homes
We’re not well off
We struggle but we always get by just fine
The schools are big, enough to make some friends
Yet too small to have all your needs met
But it’s alright, it’s all quite fine
There’s nothing like taking in the sun
On warm summer days
Out in green parks
Surrounded by shops
I wish we’d be more of a community
Like a little-huge family
But it’s alright, the people are sweet enough
-If you look in the right places
Everything’s quite fine in suburban spaces
