When it’s sunny and bright,

You can always see a sparkle in the sky.

It’s bright and sunny on the most beautiful days,

But not today.

Today is a dark and gloomy day,

That shouldn’t be my day in the first place.

Darkness always follows me either way,

Any place I choose to take, and I have to path my way.

I have nowhere to go, or call home.

I have no plan, or a way to turn back.

There’s always going to be a shadow close behind me,

I just can’t always see it.

It’s always going to follow and chase satisfaction,

Never leaving my side,

My life to be exact.

I’m forever going to have a shadow follow me,

When my days should have a little bit of sparkle to them.

I’m forever going to have a shadow following me,

I call it the Shadow Man.

It should be light out,

But there’s a shadow that follows close behind.
