Awakening

Write a poem about an awakening - it could be literal or metaphorical.

Seventeen Month Away

Seventeen months — I walked alone,

Through echoes of my past unknown.

Wounds carved deep by lessons learned,

In history’s fire, I crashed and burned.

I faded into silence, into grace,

Tried to heal in time and space.

But passion never truly dies,

It only sleeps behind the eyes.

Then came the night — the lights, the roar,

A feeling I had missed before.

I made my return, heart on display,

To a WWE event — my healing stage.

Not just a fan in seat or row,

But a soul revived from long ago.

My scars now inked with strength I’ve earned,

For after the pain… I have returned.
