It had been 2 hours,

few hours but painful like the bite of a vampire that sucked its teeth into you.

Blood dripping down while skipping down

the hallway, bumping into people

who barely heard the thumping of my heart,

or the stomping of my feet as they hit the ground.

Knocking the air out of my lungs as dizziness covered me from head to toe.

Hurrying towards the bathroom door like my life depended on it,

upon it, my face landing right in-front of the mirror that wasn't just shattered and blurry but scattered and furry surge through me, as I stared.

I stared hard but nothing....

Not a face not a soul, not a moment of calmness in the storm. It was gone, the face that was bounded to someone else just a few hours ago...

We had spent the summer together hanging around each other like a moth to a flame.

The difference is the fire would flicker on and off, signalizing it was time for me to tame my burning heart...
