I wanted it to last

I had the chance to escape the past

My agony grew as I looked up at the leaning cliff

But I felt glad I took this trip

Yeah, maybe I was lost

But who isn’t, all this land was brought

We had to name each section

Like a huge collection

But it’s fine

I didn’t want to be found

These mountains could cave me in

I felt it welcome me in my skin

I could stay

And I’d come back

And forget the past

Because I wanted this moment to last
