That summer night, looking up at the sky,

A shimmering light, drew itself to my eye.

A shooting star, with not even a swish,

Though I was afar, it allowed me a wish.

World peace? No famine? What should I choose?

Even out wealth between collars white and blue?

I could change the world, with one little thought,

But instead I was selfish, I have to report.

Be taller? Be smarter? Eternal bliss?

Have so much charm that no girl can resist?

Be rich? Be famous? Be beloved by all?

Be the ruggedly handsome belle of the ball?

Be longer? Last longer? Have a bulging six pack?

Be best in the world when I’m in the sack?

Speak Spanish? Learn kung fu? A stack of fairy bread?

Or wish for my dog to be back from the dead?

With so many options, it was so hard to choose.

But alas I chose one, though I wish I could pick two.
