“Good morning K666!” The robotic voice greets me excitedly at the entrance to my work pod, scanning me for any negativity. DING! The machine chimes letting me enter. No one knows what happens if something is detected on you, but they say we never will because this is Earth, home of the green and the positive, where nothing bad every happens.

“Good morning K666” others repeat as I walk past them, greeting every one by name. K665, K332, K199, I check the list in my head. A loud BEEP interrupts my thoughts

The single word slams onto me, it’s more powerful than anything I have ever felt or heard, how could something so small as I feeling do that to someone? Then the mist comes, pouring slowly from the unknown and the word

Consumes everything and everyone as pod K turns to chaos. People run in all directions as the gas pools on the floor and fills the room and our lungs. Then everything stops, all feeling is gone, and so is the light, and pod K falls to the ground in unison.
