Darwin’s Allegory
Leopards never change their spots.
But they avoid situations that require stripes.
Sometimes they may want to alter their spots.
But the river will never need pipes.
It can only remove the stains from the days.
Making room for the stains of the nights.
Those immortal stains that bring the decay.
A stench that’s so rotten and so right.
Go live another dream in some false harmony.
But don’t give in to the wanderer’s thoughts.
Remember the rabbit doesn’t question its destiny.
And leopards never change their spots.
