It’s not on the shelf,

Nor is it in the bathroom

Dripping like your toothbrush.

It’s not in the kitchen,

though there is food aplenty.

It’s not in the living room,

Though living is sometimes home.

It’s not by the shoes at the door,

Nor is it out on the front porch.

Home is a habit,

The one you build with ones you love

And the habit you build on your own.

Home is the trust you have in yourself.
