Macaroni Soup
Gather ‘round,
Beneath the tree,
Sit with our little group,
Each drink our macaroni soup.
Upon coloured plastic,
Cigarettes lit,
Our bodies, elastic,
Take one more hit.
Gather ‘round,
Beneath the tree,
Sit with our little group,
Each drink our macaroni soup.
Acne’d forehead makes you morose,
Discoloured skin gives you away,
I’ll break your nose
And shove you away.
Only been a year,
And again here,
Is the March sun,
And I’m still dumb,
Six months time,
August heat drives to
September, flame-dime,
School bus.
Gather ‘round,
Beneath the tree,
Sit with our little group,
Each drink our macaroni soup,
Gather ‘round,
Beneath the tree,
Sit with our little group,
Each drink our macaroni soup
[this is an old poem I wrote on here a while ago turned into song form with a couple lyrics “borrowed” from a couple Alice In Chains songs :) it’s kind of a rough draft but ALSO: I’m trying to start playing guitar because becoming a musician is one of my biggest dreams, does anyone have any tips on how to learn? Also any tips on beginner songwriting/lyricism would be much appreciated!]
