A Ghostly Friendship
I was 10 years old when I met my first ghost. I was playing in the attic of my old house, when I heard a noise. I turned around and saw a little girl standing in the corner. She was wearing a white dress and had long, black hair. She looked at me and smiled.
"Hello," she said. "My name is Emily."
I was scared at first, but Emily was so friendly that I quickly warmed up to her. We talked for hours that day, and I learned that she had died in a car accident a few years earlier. She was still trying to figure out what it meant to be a ghost, and she was lonely.
I told Emily that I would be her friend, and we quickly became inseparable. We would play together in the attic, and Emily would tell me stories about her life before she died. She was a kind and funny girl, and I loved spending time with her.
Of course, there were some downsides to having a ghost for a friend. For one thing, Emily could be a bit of a scaredy-cat. She would get scared of the dark, and she would always be worried about being seen by other people. She also couldn't do a lot of the things that I could do, like play outside or go to the movies.
But overall, the benefits of having a ghost friend far outweighed the downsides. Emily was a great listener, and she always knew how to make me laugh. She was also very wise, and she often gave me good advice. I'm so glad that I met Emily, and I'll never forget her.
