To do the most preposterous of things

All in the name of getting even

They’ll never win of course

As they sacrificed themselves

Succumbing to the feelings of the past

Acceptance, resolution

Are hard to come by

If one chooses this

The peace that will come

Will be worth it

Life can be unfair

Its up to the person

How they can be good to themselves

When others will not
