The Velvet Girl
Away we stood from the crowd
An inimitable relationship we said with proud
Though all the trials we came through
I never thought you'd leave me too
No individual could break up our love
Except the girl with velvet gloves
The girl who you chose
The girl with velvet bows
Is the girl that drew us apart
And left me with a broken heart
