STORY STARTER
Inspired by Tangerine!
Write a short story where two of your favourite characters from separate books or movies meet each other.
If they are from very different worlds what might they discuss?
Huh
(Btw, Jasper Vicari is an OC I made featured in my book “The Snail”. Link is in my bio)
“Mr. Vicari, I would really like to advise for you to not invest into the Trodajon Company. Their records are shady and unpredicatable. I’ve read so many articles about them, you really shouldn’t give them thay billion. Their last owner was arrested for corruption and tax eva-“
“Karen. Shut up, look at me in the eyes,” Jasper said, gripping her shoulders tightly, “do you really think I’m ‘supporting’ Trodajon. I’m only giving them the money so they can become a Vicari Co. Trust me, once they worship me, I’ll be like a god to their company—AGH!” Suddenly, the world beneath him cracked open, only for him. The surrounding office and elevators od the building all faded into a bright, bold ocean blue that blinded him as he fell further.
**Elsewhere in the multiverse**
Yelena was left alone at the Tower, a bottle of booze in her left hand and phone in the other. The other New Avengers had all left to run their own errands and stuff, but Yelena just needed some time alone.
It had been a few months since the Void incident, and the world had still been rocky with the New Avengers taking the title, and the other Avengers were still in a legal conflict over the name. She just wished everyone would shut up.
“AGHHHHH!” She heard screaming coming from the lobby, then a bright blue light flashed over the roof, forcing her to look away
_Thump! _
Immediately she reached for her sidearm, which was resting on the table.
“Hello?” she called, something had landed behind the chair, and it was groaning.
Then, a pair of hands reached up for the back of the chair. Pulling himself up, a man in a tuxedo amd dress pants appeared, rising slowly, moving one hand to his back.
“What the hell?” he asked, looking up, then at Yelena, and at the sight of her gun he froze cold. “Ay, sweetheart, you might wanna point tgat somewhere else now,” he chuckled put, but it was more nervous, and less enthusiastic.
“Who are you?” she demanded, moving the pistol higher for his head.
“Huh?” he asked, stumped.
“Who are you? I’m not asking you again Mr…suitman.”
“What do you mean. Do you not know who I am? I’m the most powerful person in the world! Universe for that matter. What do you mean who am I?” he scoffed arrogantly, adjusting his eyes, trying to solve who this blonde is.
“You just look like a business…guy in a suit.” She shrugged, treating him like what he called a “Norm.”
“You really don’t understand. I…am Jasper Vicari,” he cockily said, standing up straight as if his words meant anything to Yelena.
Yelena looked to the side, trying to figure out if this were some sort of joke, or if this man truly was just another arrogant wealthy man. “Ok. And I’m Yelena. Who cares?”
At these words his face fell, looking angry, confused, interested, and…anxious?
“Yelena…” he echoed, moving to the front of the couch to get a better look at her.
“Stay right there,” she said, holding the gun firmer.
“Okay,” he put his hands in a surrender. “Listen…tell me who you are and I won’t buy out this entire tower—no scratch that, block.”
“Hmm. Funny joke,” she put on a fake, half-smile, then put her poker face back on.
At this, Jasper’s face was just full of humiliation and offense. “Joke? Obviously you’re new to this world because if I want to I can buy this entire city.”
“No man has enough money to buy New York.”
“Huh.” His face paled, turning whiter than snow.
“New York. As in New York City,” Yelena said unamused.
“I know what you’re talking about…but how is that possible? I was just in California.”
Yelena’s eyes widened slightly, but not enough for her to be visually shocked. What did he mean he was just in California?
“Ah. Seems you two have finally met. I’ve waited for this for a while.” a masculine voice boomed throughout the building, shaking everything. “Welcome, friends, to the Collision.”
To be continued…
