POEM STARTER
Write a poem about a physical journey that you have been on.
Explore the tangible aspects of a journey you have been on, and how these physical characteristics may have impacted mental and spiritual aspects of the journey too.
You Are So Ungrateful
“You are so ungrateful!” My mom told me
As I let the sound of her words sink deep
In the shadows I start to stand, as I listen to the words that cut so deep.
“You are so ungrateful!” My mom told me
Her words are like rolling down a hill
That is so steep.
“You are so ungrateful” My mom told me
Her words is like a knife
That pierces through me.
“You are so ungrateful!” My mom told me
I wish I could understand
The pain I’m in
That I can’t comprehend.
“You are so ungrateful!” My mom told me
I wish I could stab through her words
So I could watch them bleed.
