POEM STARTER
My grandmother always told me…
Write a poem which begins with this line.
What My Grandmother Always Told Me
(Religious theme)
Softly, in a high pitched voice like a little bell ringing,
Surely, short and sweet like a little bird singing,
She’d say her heart song to me:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart…”
Sometimes, in a life moment full of joy, I’d think I did so;
Sometimes, with no heart left, I’d offer the last bit of glow.
I’d hear her heart song to me:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart…”
Gently, in the sunset and sunrise of my days,
Intensely, even in a purple haze,
I’d hear her faith in something beyond say:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart.”
I meant to leave this message earlier: This poem reminds me of my, ‘other grandmother’ … My two grandmother’s were sun and moon, day and night-
That’s interesting. I never got to meet my grandmother on my dad’s side, because she died when he was a kid.
