The Games That We Play

K Cole

1 min read

The games never end when I play them with you

The Hide-and-Seek of your Life, but I’ll find what you lose

Your Memory might fail but I’ll be by your side

I’ll remind you we loved, our Hearts intertwined

Our Journey’s been long, from our youth to old age

It’s been hope, it’s been tears, rejoice and Outrage

I fought in the War and you built an Empire

My Risk was your heart, your Dominion - my desir...

In A Better World

His eyelashes are still, will never again move

His perfect small ears will never again hear

Those lovely plump lips won’t speak any words

But my love for my son won’t ever disappear

In another life, he lives to be an adult

His soul stays on earth, and his body grows tall

K Cole

1 min read

The heat of the day, like a love gone astray,

Is painful, exhausting, and intense.

And no one can say, if it will stay,

Or if it will always dispense.

The heat of the sun, is fooling no one,

It’s really just killing us slowly.

If we stay or we run, the damage is done,

Like lost love, it consumes us wholly.

As heat starting fires, love sparks my desires,

And I pray, ‘May this one please last?...

Homicidal Heat

K Cole

2 min read

The sweat, it drips down, but I pay it no mind, I’ve more work that needs finishing today,

A car to clean out, a floor to mop up, a few ex-friends I need to betray.

Three easy woman and one randy man, their actions attest to their sins,

But the one most at fault, the one whom I loved,

played me like a damn violin.

He promised himself when he promised me love, neither promise he bothered to kee...
